Welcome to the website of Survivors and Advocates for Empowerment (SAFE), Inc.!
SAFE’s mission is to empower survivors of intimate partner violence in the District of Columbia by supporting them as they navigate the civil and criminal justice systems, and to advocate for systemic reforms that ensure survivor safety and self-determination. SAFE provides valuable information and services to survivors in order to help them break the cycle of violence, reduce the likelihood of future abuse, and decrease the risk of homicide. SAFE also works collaboratively with police, prosecutors, other non-profit organizations, and the DC Superior Court to ensure a coordinated response to domestic violence.
